Florida Conveyor Systems,
Automation & Support

Sunshine State Automation is a Florida-based conveyor systems integrator. We design, fabricate, install, program, commission, repair and support MDR conveyor and sortation systems for distribution centers and manufacturers across the state, from a base in North Florida on the I-75 corridor.

Being in state is not a slogan. It is the difference between a truck this afternoon and a flight next week.
Why It Matters Where We Are

Conveyor Problems Are Local Problems

A large share of the conveyor in Florida distribution centers was installed by integrators who are not in Florida. That works fine until the system stops. Then the building is waiting on a travel schedule, a parts lead time and someone who has to re-learn the site every visit.

We are in state, we hold MDR parts factory direct as NDW's US service partner, and the engineer who writes your logic is the engineer who answers when it misbehaves. For emergency work that difference is measured in shifts. For planned work it is measured in how many site visits it takes to get something right.

Coverage

Where We Work in Florida

Stated honestly, including where we are fast and where we are not. Everything outside these areas is still supported, it is just planned rather than same-day.

Gainesville, Ocala & the I-75 Corridor

Home ground. The I-75 stretch from Lake City down through Alachua, Gainesville, Ocala and Wildwood is where we are fastest on site and where a spare zone can be in a truck the same day.

Jacksonville & North Florida

Roughly ninety minutes east. Jacksonville's port and distribution corridor carries a heavy concentration of fulfillment, 3PL and cross-dock operations, and it is the market where a Florida-based controls partner most often replaces a fly-in one.

Orlando & Central Florida

The I-4 distribution belt, from Ocala down through Orlando and out to Lakeland and Polk County. Large-format DCs, theme-park and hospitality supply chains, and a lot of conveyor installed fast during growth years that is now due for retrofit.

Tampa Bay & the Gulf Coast

Tampa, St. Petersburg, Plant City and the Lakeland corridor between. Reachable within a working day from our base, and a common home for expansions into buildings that cannot afford to stop running while the tie-in happens.

South Florida

Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and the Port Everglades import corridor. Farther from home, so this is planned work, retrofits and commissioning rather than same-day emergency response, and we will say so honestly when you call.

Tallahassee & the Panhandle

Covered as scheduled work. Tallahassee, Panama City and the I-10 corridor west, typically as project or commissioning trips rather than rapid response.

Florida Conveyor Questions

Who builds conveyor systems in Florida?

Sunshine State Automation designs, fabricates, installs, programs and commissions MDR conveyor and sortation systems throughout Florida. We are based in North Florida on the I-75 corridor, which puts Gainesville, Ocala, Lake City, Jacksonville, Orlando, Central Florida and Tampa Bay within practical drive time, and we cover the rest of the state as well.

Who can repair or upgrade an MDR conveyor system in Florida?

We do, including systems we did not install. MDR rollers, driver cards, power supplies and pre-configured replacement zones come to us factory direct as NDW's US service partner, and the ZPA, gapping and diagnostic logic is written in house, so a Florida MDR line does not have to wait on an out-of-state integrator and a distributor lead time.

Do you travel outside Florida?

Yes. Florida is home and where we are fastest, but we support customers nationwide, and a large share of controls troubleshooting is resolved remotely before anyone travels.

Can you support a Florida distribution center that already has an integrator?

Yes. Some of our work is controls scope inside somebody else's larger project, and some of it is being the local partner who can be on site this week while the original integrator is three states away.

What is your response like for a system that is down?

Email support@sunshinestateautomation.com with what the system is, what it is doing and what it should be doing, plus a photo of the HMI alarm and the panel nameplate if you have one. You are writing to the engineer who would do the work, so the first reply is a diagnosis, not a ticket number.
