Built From Hands-On Field Experience
Sunshine State Automation was formed in Florida in 2026, but it did not start from nothing. It came out of more than twenty years of field work in conveyor controls, sortation systems, commissioning and production support: bringing systems online, recovering struggling projects, troubleshooting under pressure at three in the morning, and supporting equipment long after the startup team went home.
That history is why the company is shaped the way it is. Almost every bad conveyor project we have been called into failed in the same two places: the controls and the commissioning. Not the steel. Not the rollers. The logic that decides when a zone releases, and the week where somebody has to stand on the floor and make the system hold its rate against real product. So those are the two steps we do ourselves, every time, and we will tell you plainly which steps we buy.
What we actually do
Layout and zone design scoped against your real rates and product mix. Fabrication drawings for every frame, curve, merge, transfer and divert. Steel cut and formed to our flat patterns by a local shop we will name. MDR hardware factory direct. Control panels, PLC and HMI programming. Installation, commissioning and rate tuning. Documentation and training so your maintenance team can own it. And, when you need it, taking over a system somebody else left unfinished.
Who we work for
Distribution centers and fulfillment operations, third-party logistics providers, parcel and returns processing, retail and apparel distribution, and manufacturers moving product on conveyor. Our team's field experience spans live, high-volume operations in each of those categories, in buildings where the line stopping is measured in dollars a minute.
Where we work
We are based in North Florida, on the I-75 corridor, which puts Gainesville, Ocala, Lake City, Jacksonville, Orlando, Central Florida and Tampa Bay within practical drive time. We cover the state directly and support customers nationwide. A large share of controls troubleshooting is resolved remotely before anyone gets on a plane.
The NDW partnership
We are NDW's US service partner and their number one preferred controls partner in the country. In practice that means motorized rollers, driver cards, power supplies and pre-configured replacement zones come to us factory direct instead of through a distributor markup, for the systems we build and for the systems you already run.
What we are building next
HMai, an intelligent HMI layer that combines live conveyor graphics, alarm context, guided troubleshooting and operator assistance, so a floor team can recover from a fault without waiting for the one person who understands the system. It exists because we have spent too many shifts watching good maintenance techs stare at an alarm that told them nothing useful.
